For 2 years PA Forum have delivered bi-monthly events bringing together our Business Support & Administrative Manager Community, we invited managers to join us for a focus group and it was clear that we needed to offer content that would support them within their roles, providing a safe and confidential space to share and understand the challenges that we face together in the profession right now and to collectively identify some solutions that will support best practice better ways of working and a more inclusive and supportive environment.

It can be a lonely place working in any managerial role and so it is really important that managers across all sectors have a sense of belonging and community and we hope this event will provide that.

Ashorne Hill are home to Ashorne Advantage, a fantastic onsite learning and development team, representatives joined us on our focus group and have taken YOUR feedback to create a fantastic programme of learning and activities throughout the day, these will be really interactive, inclusive and facilitated by Ashorne Advantage and the content includes:

  • Challenging conversations -this section is designed to understand some of the challenges within communication and empower you to position challenging conversations positively and professionally
  • Mates to Managers – one of the biggest challenges a new leader can face is managing their old work colleagues, with blurred lines and dotted allegiances. Here we will help you counter this hurdle
  • Team Morale – how do you keep a team on track, both productivity wise and energy wise? This portion of the day will provide you with additional tools to keep the momentum going
  • Stress vs. Strain – do we know the difference? What can we equip ourselves and our teams with to cope with modern day workplace requirements and how can we do it with Wellbeing at the forefront of our thoughts?
  • Intro to Coaching & Mentoring – understanding the subtle variations and backgrounds to each of these areas is critical in ensuring you provide yourself and the team with the right professional direction

Lunch and refreshments are included throughout the day.

Places are limited and available on a first come first served basis.

For now we would kindly ask to limit to a MAX of 2 places per company please so we can allow space for as much diversity and variety of thought and experience, you might like to invite someone to come along who is an aspiring manager or someone who has been working in a managerial role throughout their career. This event is open to anyone working in a managerial role across the Executive and Business Support function.
